Monmouth Caravan Park

Not for disabled. Deep gravel so can't use wheelchair. Disabled toilet nothing else. Get woken by owner/worker playing with leaf blower at 7.00am. Then spends 15 minutes blowing stones off grass. I go into toilets at 8.00am and his there naked having a strip wash as too fat to use shower. When I complained about noise I got abuse. Bar is only open sat and sun. Food Sunday. Won't recommend or use next year.

The owners are friendly and kindly let us arrive late, which we appreciated. However, showers require extra payment and are on a timer, which is stressful, especially for my wife when washing her hair. If the time runs out, you have to get dressed, go outside to add more money, and return to the shower. The toilet and shower area is open and unheated, so it’s very cold with no comfortable space to change. The hot water also ran out while washing up, and there’s no bin in the washing up area. I wouldn’t mind paying £30 or more if there were unrestricted showers and warm, comfortable facilities, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case.

A year and half ago we came an across this beautiful site situated in the lovely town of Monmouth We was welcomed by the lovely owners and staff , we couldn’t wait to put our name down on the waiting list and luckily was able to obtain a 12 month Seasonal pitch. It’s got everything you need to make a home from home. Just to mention a few, the site is kept absolutely immaculate. The community on site really has family feel where everyone will offer their helping hand where ever they can. Shower and toilet block is always spotless. The dog friendly Clubhouse has a great vibe with events throughout the year which always brings everyone together off site. We’ve made so many friends and look forward to the next season ahead. Sunday Lunch is a must before we leave most weekends it’s beautiful. The site is so peaceful at night unlike other sites people are always respectable where loud music is never a problem. Its minutes walk to local pubs, restaurants cafes etc.Endless walks around the wye Valley and Offers dyke national park which was very important to us. Recently read a very negative review I was very shocked in reading but can honestly say in the nearly 2 seasons on site we’ve been welcomed every weekend and always there offering help if you need any and as for the loud party and music definitely not. We highly recommended it for a seasonal pitch and also your week/weekends away you definitely won’t be disappointed.

Just stayed at Monmouth Caravan Park for 2 nights in our motorhome. We were greeted on arrival & made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived, offered to fill up with water before we parked up & were walked to our pitch. Staff are very helpful & friendly & on hand to answer any questions, etc. The site is immaculate & all the facilities are unbelievably clean. The whole time we were here was just perfect & we hope to stay again in future. We had a lovely stay. Thank you so much
