Mountain View is a detached shepherd's hut on a small holding in Monmouthshire, sleeping two in a single ¾ double bed. Everything happens on the ground floor: an open-plan space combines living and dining areas with a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, a bedroom section, and an external shower room with walk-in shower. There's no television here. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included, along with heating for colder months.
Outside, a lawned garden with sitting area and fire pit faces over rolling countryside toward the mountains. One car parks on site. Pets stay free, and smoking is not permitted. The location works well for walkers and cyclists heading into the Brecon Beacons or tackling nearby climbs like The Tumble; the Skirrid and Sugar Loaf mountains are within reach, as is a vineyard at lower elevation. Abergavenny, four and a half miles away, has shops, market, pubs, restaurants and hosts a food festival.
