This was our first camping experience and it was honestly THE best camp to start off at. The facilities were amazing, the lawn was pristine and the location was astonishing! We went on a very busy bank holiday however you would not know how many pitches were actually here due to the time and effort that went into planning all the pitches in space to one another, not once did we feel like we were on top of each other. Not to mention the staff that worked on the campsite, they could not do enough for you especially John the owner was so warm, welcoming and hilarious!! They all made us feel so safe and created such a lovely atmosphere for everyone and we will definitely return! Thankyou so much again John and everyone

This was our first camping trip as a family of 4 and it was honestly brilliant. The setting is amazing with a river for the kids to step through with two rope swings that a local said had been there for at least 30 years in one form or another. John is amazing and is always happy to help. The toilets and showers were ideal (although busy due to an unusually packed bank holiday weekend due to the heat wave - this was one of the last nearby campsites with spaces left at the time we booked!) The night sky was amazing 🤩 There are some lovely trails next to the river which takes you through fields of sheep and wonderful scenery. The paths take you up the main village through road where you can access the local pub and shop. The site is definitely “off the beaten track” which is what we love. You can drive to the nearby town in about 15 mins. The black mountains are right there in full view from the campsite with wales on the other side of them which was pretty amazing. Do not hesitate if thinking about attending this site as whole experience is something you wouldn’t want to miss out on 💪💯 Have fun!

The setting is beautiful but it does most of the legwork. There was two female showers and toilets and two male for over fifty pitches. The loos were in the same cubicles as the showers which also affected queuing times. There was standing urine in the male’s after the first night. There was one washing up basin for the whole site. There were portaloos being installed last minute. Some of these did not flush properly. We stayed 3 nights. On the third day, you could see rubbish overflowing and spilling out from their designated areas.

Great fields for setting up. Small roads leading to site but that's typical of the area. The problem is the owners think they have a perfect camping site whereas it needs some investment in facilities to make it a good site to go to. 2 male combined toilet AND shower rooms!! One sink for washing up that is not under cover. Some portaloos dotted about to offset the lack of proper toilet block. However. Lovely location.
