Cowrie Cottage

Cowrie Cottage is a stone fisherman's cottage a few steps from Portknockie's beach. The three bedrooms sleep six: a double on the ground floor, a kingsize on the first floor, and two singles. There are two bathrooms with showers, plus a second living room upstairs, so there's space to spread out. One well-behaved pet stays free of charge.

The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer, making it straightforward to prepare meals. Essentials like electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. The cottage also has its own sauna. An enclosed garden with furniture sits at the back, and there's parking for one car. The place retains original features including stripped pine doors throughout. Heating is gas central.

The cottage does not suit wheelchair users due to narrow doorways and a step between the kitchen and dining room. No smoking inside. Portknockie Fish & Chip Shop is nearby if you'd rather not cook. The surrounding coastline is known for cowrie shells, and a collection left in the cottage can be added to during your stay.
