Seahaven Cottage
Moray
Portknockie sits on Scotland's northeast coast where the Moray Firth is close enough for a short walk. Dolphins and minke whales are regularly spotted from the shore, and the coastline has accessible walking routes throughout. Elgin, 20 miles south, offers museums, shops and restaurants if you want a day away from the village.
Seahaven Cottage is a two-bedroom property sleeping four, with a ground-floor living room and kitchen/dining room, plus a bathroom on the same level. Upstairs are a kingsize bed with ensuite shower and two singles. The kitchen is equipped for cooking proper meals—electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave and washing machine are all here. An enclosed, south-facing garden with seating catches the sun through most of the day. Wifi and all heating and electricity are included; bed linen and towels are provided. On-road parking is available outside. No smoking inside the cottage.
Portknockie itself has a pub, chip shop, Chinese takeaway and general store within walking distance. The village has the feel of a quiet, working community rather than a resort, but has enough to hand that you won't need to drive for everyday needs. A travel cot and stairgate are available if required.
