Salty Dog sits ten yards from Findochty harbour, a working fishing village on the Moray Firth Coast. This semi-detached cottage has been renovated to comfortable standards and sleeps six across three bedrooms: a kingsize with ensuite on the ground floor, a kingsize ensuite upstairs, and a third room with two three-quarter double beds. There are two bathrooms in total, one with a walk-in shower and heated towel rail.
The ground floor is open plan, with a living area centred around a woodburner, dining space and kitchen equipped for full self-catering. Patio doors open onto a raised, fully enclosed terrace with garden furniture and a barbecue. A utility room houses a washing machine. Parking is available on site for one car. The essentials—electricity, gas heating, bed linen, towels and wifi—are provided, along with initial fuel for the fire and a welcome pack.
The property suits families and groups wanting direct access to both the coast and the Moray Coast Trail, which extends into Buckie, Portknockie and Cullen within three miles. Findochty has a pub with harbour views 300 yards away. An 18-hole golf course lies a mile west. The village is a base for walking, sailing, fishing, cycling and whale watching. Note that the harbour is unfenced and immediately adjacent. No smoking inside.
