Scott Holiday Cottages - Seabreezes

Photo: Michael Hunter

Seabreezes is a three-bedroom cottage sleeping six in the coastal village of Buckie, with the ground floor adapted for wheelchair access. Everything needed for self-catering is provided: a fully equipped kitchen with electric cooker, dishwasher and washing machine; wifi and heating throughout; bed linen and towels. The main living room has a 42-inch television and opens directly onto a decked area facing the water.

The ground floor holds a double bedroom with its own wet room, plus a family bathroom and open-plan kitchen-dining room with a second television. Upstairs are two more bedrooms—a double and a twin—reached by internal stairs. Outside, a shared garden with seating looks across to Portknockie harbour and the cliffs beyond. The property comes with private parking for two cars, and the village itself sits within 500 yards of a shop, pub, restaurant and the Portknockie Fish & Chip Shop. No smoking indoors.

The area suits anyone wanting coastal walks, fishing villages, or access to the Speyside Whisky Trail and castle routes. Moray's beaches, golf courses and riding facilities are all nearby. Guests arrive after 4pm and leave by 10am.

A warm welcome and a warm house. The kitchen is well stocked with cutlery, crockery etc and the view from the conservatory is the ever changing beautiful sky and sea. Plus it overlooks the harbour. The people we met in the village were all friendly, saying hello or having conversations upon passing us on our walks. Portknockie is also a good central spot for getting to other towns and villages.

Feels like a second home. Clean, comfortable and with all amenities required . Location is stunning with views over the harbour and Moray Firth. An added bonus is wild dolphins travelling by and if you are lucky putting on a show.
