Dunstall Lodge Barns - The Parlour

The Parlour is a sympathetically converted barn on a working farm near Newark, with the character of its agricultural past but the comfort of modern renovation. The whole property is yours alone, arranged on a single storey with an open-plan living space and kitchen, two bedrooms each with its own shower room, and direct access to the garden. An underfloor heating system keeps things warm, and the essentials—linen, towels, electricity and wifi—are all included.

The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking proper meals, with an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and all the other appliances you'd need. Outside, you have a lawned garden, courtyard seating and a barbecue, plus parking for two cars and a bike store. One well-behaved dog stays free. The building is wheelchair accessible, and travel cots and highchairs are available if you ask when booking.

The location strikes a balance between rural peace and practical access. A local pub is within walking distance, and Newark itself—known for its International Antiques Fairs—is a short drive away. Lincoln, with its cathedral and castle, is about 30 minutes further on. The farm sits amid open countryside with good walking and cycling routes nearby, and the River Trent and local fishing lakes are close by. No smoking indoors.
