Would not recommend. The site gets very wet and boggy. The dog walking area is nothing more than a large grass verge which, if it rains, turns into a bog. The owners do not bother with their seasonal pitch renters. Communication is shocking, we rented a pitch and had been there a few months when the owner called in response to my email to ask if we wanted a pitch ! Toilets are basic and the heating is turned off at the end of Feb . As for the disabled toilet its not cleaned regularly, no toilet roll or hand-wash as we are clearly not important enough. There are no disabled facilities on the sister site because the owners dont feel its necessary. Orchard is lovely which was what drew us to the site but its something we regret. A lot of money for not a lot of service !

After booking a tent pitch over the phone we arrived at Orchard Park and spoke to the warden in the office who was friendly and polite, we then was let in and shown where we could pitch our tent up. We had the option to have an electric hook up if we wished however we chose not to, the spot was ideal as it was an adults only area however a few dog walkers failed to see our tent and proceeded to let their dog foul outside our tent which wasnt pleasant but they did clear it up. The shower and toilet facilities was good and well maintained with easy access. The train was abit of a hindrance at night whilst going to sleep because it was quite loud when it went past. We came early afternoon and only stopped one night but we couldn't see much on offer in terms of things to do but overall a really nice place with some excellent caravans to look at and I would recommend.

Not booked this place after reading their extensive rules for pet owners and their clearly biased opinions. Looking at reviews the dog park is small and often waterlogged. Lots of rules around dogs barking and scaring children although my dogs don’t bark, why is okay for the children to be loud and scare my dogs. Any rules you set for dogs should be set for children. It’s clear by reading about this campsite they don’t actually like dogs. This is not a pet friendly site. Any pet friendly site do not give a Huge list of rules. I have very well behaved dogs but won’t book a site that clearly doesn’t care about dogs and only about charge extra for having ‘dog friendly’ on their checklist. You should do some basic research into what dog friendly actually means. Why are there no rules for loud children? We all know children can be loud and that’s for parents to parent just like it’s for an owner to train so therefor you should set rules for adults because we all know these days people allow their kids to run havoc. It’s not often I’d leave reviews but this biased campsite should not be deemed dog friendly.

I've just got home after spending 4 nights in 2 of your lodges. It is a really lovely site. Lots of space and parking. The owners are so lovely and the man that helped me check in. Thank you to Lisa for being so helpful. The lodges are beautiful. Me and my children had an amazing time. I will be back very soon. Thank you again x
