Readyfields Farm - Dukes Wood
Newark and Sherwood

Readyfields Farm - Dukes Wood suits couples and families wanting a rural retreat without the drive time to reach somewhere interesting. The lodge sits on a working farm at the edge of Beck Valley, with footpaths starting at the gate and Newark's market town amenities seven miles away. Everything is on the ground floor: a combined living and dining space with a sofa bed and smart TV, a kitchen fitted for actual cooking, a bedroom with a king bed, another with two singles, and a shower room. Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are included, plus Wi-Fi and parking for two cars.
The hot tub on the patio is the draw—a proper soak under clear night skies well away from light pollution. Beyond the immediate grounds, country walks lead to Winkburn and its micro-brewery taproom. Southwell is a short drive for its minster and independent shops. Clumber Park and Sherwood Forest are nearby for longer days out, as are Rufford Abbey, Newstead Abbey and Cresswell Crags. Wednesday and Saturday market days in Newark mean bargain hunting is possible, and the town itself has a castle with picnic grounds and river boating. The property does not accept hen or stag parties.
