Readyfields Farm - Halfmoon Wood

Readyfields Farm sits on working farmland overlooking Beck Valley. The lodge is a single-storey property sleeping up to six, with a king bed in one bedroom, two singles in the other, and a sofa bed in the open-plan living space. There's a shower room, kitchen with electric cooker and dishwasher, and a patio with garden furniture. A hot tub is available for evening use, and the setting offers genuine darkness at night—ideal for stargazing away from light pollution.

The farm's location means footpaths start from the property itself. One walk leads to Winkburn, a small hamlet home to Beermats micro-brewery. Southwell is a short drive, with its Minster, independent shops and cafés. Newark on Trent, seven miles away, is the nearest larger town, with a castle, river boating, Civil War museum and markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The Newark Showground hosts the Nottinghamshire County Show each May alongside antique fairs and horticultural events throughout the year.

Within the wider area lie Clumber Park for walking and cycling, Sherwood Forest and the Major Oak, Rufford Abbey, Newstead Abbey and Cresswell Crags. Electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. The property is non-smoking and for couples and families only. Two cars can park on site.
