About Newquay Beach Hotel

Newquay draws visitors for its beaches, coastal walks and surf, and Newquay Beach Hotel puts guests within easy reach of all three from its spot on Narrowcliff. The train station, sands and local restaurants are all close by, making it a straightforward base for exploring the town and the wider Cornish coast.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, some with sea views, and family rooms are available for those travelling with children. Decor throughout tends to be modern and fresh, though a few rooms show their age in terms of upkeep. Breakfast is a particular strength, with a varied spread that guests consistently rate highly, and the on-site restaurant, bar and snack bar cover the rest of the day, with outdoor seating, room service and drinks in room also on offer. Staff are noted for being friendly and helpful.

Beyond the hotel, the area suits an active stay, with watersports, cycling, walking, golf, fishing and horse riding all available nearby, plus pubs and restaurants within easy reach for evenings out.

We stayed for two nights and had a wonderful experience! The hotel is absolutely beautiful, both inside and out. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was spotless. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. When I couldn’t find a parking spot and called the front desk, a staff member kindly came outside to assist me right away. That level of service really made a difference. We would definitely stay here again!

We were 4 people living here for one night, in total 2 rooms. Well placed, close to both the beach and the train station. However, it was very difficult to find! We booked it via Booking, where it was called "The Feather's Hotel", but it turned out to be this one. The adress from booking wasn't the right one either. There was very little to suggest this was the correct hotel, until we asked in the reception. The room felt dirty, especially the floor. Visible dust on top of the dresser and the wardrobe. In the shower, no shampoo was provided, only liquid soap. The beds were uncomfortable, and you felt the springs. The pictures on Booking (and on the other booking sites we checked) did not represent how it actually looked. They are recognizable as the rooms we were in, but did not represent the state, cleanliness, and actual feel. The staff was nice and did their best. But we were disappointed in the stay as a whole.

Location is great. Hotel staff (receptionist, cleaners etc) very helpful and friendly. Lobby and restaurant is looking good, the hallway and staircase leading to the rooms upstairs needs cleaning (carpet was dirty). Room (2nd floor attic room) lacks some furniture - there was nothing to put your bags on , no fridge, the carpet had some stains. Window was dirty, looking out to a yard. Double bed was too soft and had a thin mattress, you could feel the springs under your back. Bathroom was OK.

We were extremely disappointed with our stay. The hotel is nothing like the photos shown on its website. It was dirty throughout, and the bathroom had an awful smell that made it very unpleasant to use. The bedroom carpet was heavily stained (see photo), and the bed was so uncomfortable that you could feel every spring. See the photo of what our room looked onto. Overall, this hotel was a huge letdown and did not live up to its advertised standards. I would not recommend it to anyone.
