About Country View Lodge
Tucked into the grounds of a working farm near the Devon-Cornwall border, Country View Lodge offers a self-contained rural retreat within striking distance of both coasts. The two-bedroom lodge features an open-plan kitchen, bright lounge, and dining area, plus outdoor decking with a barbecue where you can soak up the countryside views. A peaceful nature pond on the farm invites you to while away an hour feeding the fish.
Saint Giles on the Heath village – just five minutes' drive – has a couple of well-regarded pubs, a shop, and a post office for essentials. Further afield, Roadford Lake is a quarter-hour away, while the surfing haven of Bude lies half an hour down the road. Between coastal castles, historic fishing villages, and even the Eden Project's biomes, you're spoilt for day-trip options.
Note that dogs aren't permitted here, so it's one for pet-free family getaways seeking a calm, wildlife-rich base from which to explore two of England's loveliest counties.

It was our first experience with my partner to stay in a real yurt 😊⛺ When I saw pictures of @countryviewcottages I knew it will be an unforgettable place to stay in and I was right 😉 Our Orchid yurt was clean and cosy, you have all necessities including heater in case it gets cold, every detail was thoroughly thought out 👍🏻Bathrooms and kitchen with all appliances were crystal clean, which is a relief for me 😄 Hot tub and swimming pool with warm water is just a cherry on top 😍😍😍The owner, Andy, is very friendly and helpful and his dog Roxy is a superstar 🌸🌸🌸In love with this place, we are 💯 coming back and also bringing friends, #countryviewcottages you stole my heart ❣#yurts #livelovelaugh #amazingsky #love #breathtaking
