Honeysuckle Cottage

Irvine sits on Scotland's southwest coast, surrounded by countryside that opens onto sandy beaches and backed by easy reach of Glasgow. Honeysuckle Cottage occupies a former miner's terraced home in a conservation area inland from the shore. The single bedroom, bathroom and combined living space are all on the ground floor, arranged around a woodburner and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking. One dog stays free; there's even a dedicated washing area for muddy paws after walks.

The cottage comes as a whole to yourself, furnished with a double bed, smart TV and DVD player, and the essentials covered—heating, power, linen, towels and wifi are all included. Logs for the burner are provided too. Outside, decking and a summerhouse overlook the garden, and two cars fit in the private parking. The nearest shop and pub are a mile away, with restaurants a little further.

The Ayrshire Coastal Path runs close by, making this a natural base for walkers and cyclists. Troon, Prestwick and Ayr are all within striking distance, each with harbours, promenades and amenities. The islands of Arran, Bute and Cumbrae are reachable by ferry. For those wanting something bigger, Glasgow is 30 minutes by car or rail from Irvine, and Loch Lomond National Park is 40 minutes away. This property does not accommodate children.
