Lings Farm Cottage

North East Derbyshire

Lings Farm Cottage is a renovated stone semi-detached property set on a working beef farm, offering self-contained accommodation for four guests in two bedrooms and a bathroom. The cottage balances rural setting with genuine comfort: a wood burner warms the living room on cooler evenings, while the open-plan kitchen and dining area has everything needed for cooking—electric oven, dishwasher, microwave and full-size fridge. Upstairs, one bedroom has a kingsize bed and the other contains two single beds that zip together. Heating is oil-fired central, and wi-fi is provided throughout. Bed linen and towels are included, along with initial logs for the burner.

The Peak District National Park is on the doorstep. Chatsworth House lies roughly 25 minutes' drive away, Bakewell around 30 minutes, and Haddon Hall within similar reach. Closer by, the market town of Matlock has independent shops and tea rooms; Chesterfield with its distinctive Crooked Spire is also nearby. The surrounding area suits walkers and cyclists, with Carsington Water offering defined paths for a longer outing. A pub sits within a mile of the cottage, and a shop is also nearby. The property provides a lawned courtyard with patio furniture and use of a paddock; private parking for two cars is on site. No smoking is permitted inside.
