Oakleigh

Oakleigh is a bungalow built entirely on one level, making it straightforward to navigate. Two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with a single—and a bathroom with bath and shower serve three guests. The heart of the property is a combined kitchen and living area with patio doors that open onto a decked garden overlooking wooded hillside; a second living space with smart TV provides extra room to spread out. The kitchen has an electric cooker, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and washing machine, so you can cook and manage laundry during your stay. Bed linen, towels, electricity and wifi are included; there is a step up to the decking outside.

The bungalow sits in Holymoorside, a small rural village about four miles from Chesterfield town centre and close to the Peak District National Park boundary. Chesterfield itself offers shops, restaurants, cafés, a cinema, swimming and bowling. Within ten miles you'll find Chatsworth House, Bolsover Castle, Haddon Hall, Hardwick Hall, Matlock Bath, Darley Dale steam railway and Crich tramway museum. The surrounding countryside holds villages like Ashford-in-the-Water, Eyam, Winster and Castleton with its caverns. On-site parking accommodates three cars; an electric car charging point is available at additional cost. The property is non-smoking.
