Cromer's seafront is practically on the doorstep of Melrose Cottage—the beach and pier are closer than many people park their cars. The town itself has shops, cafés and restaurants within a stone's throw, plus the Amazona Zoo and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution Museum if you want to venture further than the sand. The Red Lion Hotel sits nearby for a pint. Sheringham is four miles along the coast, with its own beach, leisure pool and the Poppy Line steam railway; Blakeney Quay makes for a scenic thirteen-mile drive.
This three-storey terraced property sleeps four across three bedrooms—a kingsize on the first floor, another kingsize on the second, and a bunk bed (double base, single top) for flexible arrangements. The single bathroom is on the first floor. Downstairs, the living room has a wood burner and Freeview television; the kitchen area is fitted with an electric oven and hob, microwave, and washing machine for longer stays. Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels and electricity are all included; logs for the burner come with the booking from October to March. One dog is welcome at no extra cost. The property is no-smoking. Note that the stairs are narrow, steep and spiral in places.
RSPB reserves at Cley, Morston and Blakeney are within easy driving distance, and walkers will find coastal paths and country lanes close by. Holkham Hall and its beach lie twenty-three miles away.
