Horning is a waterside village at the heart of Norfolk's Broads, surrounded by reed-lined waterways, nature reserves and cycling routes. The Brambles is a semi-detached thatched cottage that sleeps six across three bedrooms and one bathroom. It has been renovated throughout, with a living room, separate kitchen and dining area, and an external utility room with a washing machine. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are included. The property is no-smoking.
Downstairs holds a double bedroom with a wet room. Upstairs are two more bedrooms—another double and a twin. The enclosed garden has a patio, garden furniture and a barbecue, and there is private parking for two cars on site. A bike store is available, which is useful given the flat terrain and network of routes through the Broads. The village itself has riverside cafés, pubs and shops, and boat hire is available for exploring the waterways or going fishing (seasonal, licence required).
Wroxham, roughly three and a half miles away, hosts the Bure Valley steam railway and has a well-known general store. Sandy beaches at Sea Palling and Horsey lie about twelve miles off. How Hill Nature Reserve and BeWILDerwood tree-top park are both nearby. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available on request.
