Families and larger groups will find The Chapel works well for a Norfolk break. The building dates from the 1800s and still reads as a chapel—the open plan living space has the high ceilings that come with that—but the four bedrooms, four bathrooms and kitchen mean there is actual room to spread out. Two of the bedrooms have pairs of single beds, one has bunks suitable for children, and the fourth is a double upstairs with its own bath. Each bedroom has its own shower room or ensuite, which matters when eight people are sharing. One dog stays free.
The ground floor holds the kitchen (electric range, dishwasher, microwave), a living area with a 55-inch smart TV, and a sun room opening onto an enclosed courtyard with a BBQ. Bed linen, towels, heating, electricity and wifi are included. The village hall next door offers parking. The North Norfolk coast is twenty minutes away—Blakeney for crabbing at the quay, Wells-next-the-Sea for its beach and high street, Cromer and Sheringham to the east. Holt, inland, has independent shops and cafés. No smoking inside the property.
