The Old Bank
North Norfolk
Mundesley is a quieter stretch of North Norfolk's coast, with a wide sandy beach that locals favour over the busier neighbouring towns. The Old Bank sits at the heart of the village—a converted ground-floor apartment with private parking for two cars, a small courtyard, and direct access to the street. The beach is 50 yards away; the shops, pubs and restaurants are on your doorstep.
The layout is straightforward: one open-plan living and dining space with a 49-inch smart TV, a separate kitchen equipped for proper cooking, and two bedrooms. The first has a king-size bed with an ensuite toilet; the second contains two single beds that can be linked into a super-king on request. A shower room serves the second bedroom. Gas heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included. The kitchen is fully fitted with an oven, hob, dishwasher and washer-dryer, and you'll find a travel cot and high chair if you need them. No smoking throughout.
The property works well for couples or small families wanting a self-contained base without the fuss of leaving the village. The Norfolk Broads are within an hour's drive if you want to explore further—Wroxham's charter boats and river tours are popular—and the coastline around here is dotted with other villages and coastal habitats worth visiting. After a day out, you return to a proper bed and your own space.
