Whispering Reeds

Whispering Reeds sits directly on a river tributary of the Bure, with a 60-foot garden that slopes down to your own decked quay. This is the concrete advantage: you can watch boats and wildlife from corner seating on the water's edge, or cast a line if you have a licence. The main living space opens onto a garden with two decked areas, an outdoor kitchen, fire pit and gas barbecue. Inside, a wood burner warms the open-plan living and dining room, which has a smart TV and Blu-ray player for less active moments.
The house sleeps six across three bedrooms, all with televisions. The master on the first floor has a king bed and sliding doors to a balcony with patio heaters and bistro furniture overlooking the garden. Two further doubles are also upstairs. Two shower rooms and a utility with washer-dryer mean the logistics work for families. The kitchen is fully equipped—oven, induction hob, dishwasher, American fridge, coffee machine—so you can cook properly or do the minimum. Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen, towels and wood for the burner are all provided.
A private hot tub sits in the garden, enclosed and heated for five. One dog stays free and there's a travel cot and highchair if needed. Parking is for two cars at the property, with additional space on the road. Burehaven is a small settlement; Norfolk Boats, a boat sales yard, is nearby. No smoking inside.

A truly wonderful place for a holiday! Accommodation is very well presented and right on the waterfront in a lovely village. Only a short walk to facilities, including great pubs. The only problem is that we went to book again and there was no availability! We really hope to return

Just had a fantastic week relaxing at the whispering reeds. Had everything needed for the week from a great outdoor dining area to a hot tub to relax in. I would fully recommend hiring the day boat for your stay as it’s a great way to explore

The most perfect waterside holiday home with garden, hot tub, gas bbq outdoor kitchen, outdoor seating and optional boat hire add-on. Layout is modern and comfortable. Owners have thought of everything. It’s well appointed and lacking nothing! We had good weather so used the boat and/or our canoe daily, as well as the outdoor dining areas. A truly memorable holiday. Being in Horning, it’s a short walk (

I had the most amazing time here as a group of 6 ladies for a special birthday celebration. The facilities in the house were amazing and there was nothing we needed that wasn't provided. High quality of fixtures and fittings throughout. The boats made our stay really. We had fantastic weather so travelled on them every day. We found nature reserves, pubs and cafés and the routes were just beautiful! The hot tub and BBQ area provided the perfect set up for the evenings and view of the sun set each night was amazing! Would highly recommend.
