The Nook

The Nook is a single-storey cottage built into a North Somerset property, positioned to make the most of its aspect across the Bristol Channel. The open-plan living and dining space faces out over the water, where you can watch ship traffic or catch the evening lights from Cardiff and Newport across the bay. A king bed in the bedroom also commands these views, making it hard to leave the windows once you've arrived.

The whole place sits on one level: a contemporary kitchen with electric cooking, dishwasher and full-sized fridge connects to the living area with a smart TV, and a shower room serves both spaces. Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are provided as standard. There is private parking for one car and a courtyard garden outside. The property does not permit smoking, and is for adults only.

The immediate surroundings include Portishead harbour and town a short distance away, with shops, restaurants and moored yachts, plus National Trust properties within reach. Weston-super-Mare and its Victorian pier lie along the coast, while Bath's Georgian streets and Bristol's waterfront are under half an hour's drive. A beach sits just over a mile away.
