We have just had a fabulous stay at this campsite. Don’t expect modern facilities here, but it’s clean and everything you need is here, including a freezer for your freezer blocks. The site is peaceful with beautiful views, surrounded by farm fields. If you enjoy walking public footpaths, like us, this place is heaven. You can even walk straight to the Wellington Inn for a delicious pub meal.

Very beautiful land, quiet in the rural parts. We were very much delayed and Dan (owner) was very kind to receive us late. He came to greet us with his dog and had a little talk. Only stayed for one night with 3 people and a tent very reasonable price. There's toilets, showers, washers for clothes and a little area to clean dishes. The cleanliness is alright for a rural campsite. I'd definitely come back. (There's cows and sheep to look at if you like them)

I don't understand the negative reviews about this place. There was no problem with the tent, we got a beautiful spot with a wonderful view. The service was very friendly; we were greeted by what I think is the owner and his adorable dog. Despite the late hour, he was polite and pointed us to a fantastic route for the next day. The toilets and showers aren't the best quality, but for the price, they seem very good. I recommend this place.
