The Smithy

North Yorkshire

View on Google Maps

Dacre Banks sits on the River Nidd in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, surrounded by walking routes through some of North Yorkshire's most compelling countryside. The village pub is within walking distance, and Pateley Bridge—with its shops, cafés and further exploring options—is nearby. A converted stone building, The Smithy offers four guests two double bedrooms and a bathroom across its two floors, with parking on site.

Downstairs is open plan: a living space with woodburner and Smart TV flows into a dining area and kitchen equipped for proper cooking (induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher, air fryer among the appliances). Underfloor heating runs through this whole level. Upstairs, the two bedrooms are generously proportioned doubles, both 4ft 6in beds. The bathroom has a shower over the bath and a heated towel rail. Bed linen, towels, wifi and an initial load of wood are all included; heating and electricity are covered too.

The cottage suits couples, friends or small families who want to be based somewhere comfortable enough to enjoy evenings in, yet positioned for days spent walking or exploring the valley. A travel cot and highchair are available. The property is non-smoking throughout.
