We had a caravan on the site many years ago and upgraded our old caravan for a newer one don't get out that way much these days but I remember the daughter of the owner starting a bakery at the top of the site her children were toddlers then they will have grown up by now always friendly and accommodating, jack the owner always on hand to help with a spare part or something you might have forgotten to bring

We stayed 2 years ago however my daughter and her friends still talk about the experience now. We stayed with a group of families. After first being told that the kids were free to roam they played in a forest area after checking in with us. There were no signs and the owners had not any indication that areas were off limits so we said yes and we’d ask the owners when they came to collect payment. Unfortunately they assumed it was within their rights to speak to our children directly without checking in with the adults in the group and shouted at them and called them names, (blondie). The whole group was really upset with some tears and it coloured our whole camping weekend and they’ve been wanting to write a review since. The facilities were otherwise fine with nice views however we wouldn’t return as we didn’t find it family friendly.

Fabulous site. A hidden gem. Not for those wanting luxury facilities but everything you need, clean and tidy.

Lovely spot, short walk from village with great pub and farm shop. We had the whole field to ourselves. Decent toilets and showers. 👍
