Bankside

Leyburn itself is worth a day on foot: the market town has independent shops, cafés and pubs within easy reach, plus a farmers market on Fridays. The Yorkshire Dales National Park begins practically at the edge of town, opening up miles of walking and cycling country. Bankside sits close enough to explore both without moving the car much, though the enclosed garden and bike store suggest you might not need it every day.

The house sleeps five across three bedrooms: a double with ensuite on the first floor, a second double, and a single. The main bathroom has a bath and shower. Downstairs, the kitchen is fully equipped for proper cooking, and the living room centres on an electric wood burner. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are included. There is parking for two cars on site.

The property is no-smoking throughout. It works well for families or groups wanting a base rather than a destination in itself, somewhere to return to after days out in the Dales or exploring Wensleydale.
