Barn Cottage sits on Crakehall's village green in a building that dates to the 17th century. The stone walls and original features remain, though the interior has been modernised throughout. It sleeps three across two bedrooms—a kingsize and a three-quarter double—with one bathroom on the first floor. Everything essential is provided: bed linen, towels, wifi and electricity are included, and there's a woodburner for cooler evenings if logs are sourced locally.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with an electric oven, hob, dishwasher, coffee machine and slow cooker among the appliances. Downstairs there's a separate living room with a smart TV and Bluetooth speaker. One dog is welcome, and the cottage offers doggy extras; families with young children can request a travel cot, highchair or stairgate. A garage holds a chest freezer and tumble dryer, useful for longer stays.
An enclosed lawned garden and patio lie directly across the road, with garden furniture and a BBQ for outdoor meals. Parking is private for one car, with additional on-street spaces nearby. The Bay Horse Inn sits close by, and from here the North Yorkshire Dales and Moors are accessible for exploring. No smoking is permitted inside.
