Berry and Cook’s Cottage - Berry Cottage
North Yorkshire
Bishopton is a quiet village on the outskirts of Ripon, North Yorkshire's compact cathedral city. A ten-minute walk brings you into town, where the cathedral itself dominates the skyline, and independent shops, cafés and pubs line the streets. The village sits within reach of the Dales, the Nidderdale moorland, and the waterways that run through the region—Ripon Canal Cruises operate from the town itself.
Berry Cottage dates from the 18th century and is Grade II listed, though the interior balances period character with straightforward comfort. Downstairs, a living room with a woodburning stove and Smart TV opens onto a separate dining room; the kitchen is equipped for self-catering and has an electric oven, induction hob, and washing machine. Two bedrooms occupy the first floor—one with a king-size bed, the other a double—served by a shower room with a heated towel rail. The cottage sleeps four and is yours alone. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and the initial fuel for the stove are included; heating is gas central. On-road parking is available outside, and a travel cot and highchair can be provided if needed. Smoking is not permitted.
