About The Unicorn Hotel Wetherspoon
Ripon's Market Place is the natural hub of this North Yorkshire cathedral city, and it's here that The Unicorn Hotel Wetherspoon makes its home. The building combines the familiar Wetherspoon pub and restaurant with straightforward hotel accommodation, putting guests right in the middle of the town's shops, pubs and eateries.
Rooms are en-suite and include family options, so there's flexibility for couples, solo travellers or those with children. Kids' meals are available in the restaurant downstairs, alongside a full breakfast service and a bar for evening drinks. Guests can also have drinks brought to their room, and reception operates around the clock, useful for anyone arriving late or heading off early. A garden and outdoor seating area give an option for sitting out when the weather allows.
Beyond the hotel doors, Ripon's own pubs, bars and restaurants are within easy reach, and there's a golf course and other entertainment nearby for those wanting to fill a day. Thirsk lies a short distance away, and Leeds Bradford Airport is accessible for onward travel. It's a functional, well-placed base for exploring the area rather than a destination in itself.
