Couples and solo travellers will find Blacksmiths Cottage suits a quiet break away. The entire ground floor is yours alone: a combined living, kitchen and dining space with a woodburner, a kingsize bedroom, and a shower room. The cottage retains features from its working days as the village blacksmith's shop—oak beams, reclaimed brick and the original forge fireplace dominate the living area. One car can park on site. Electricity, bed linen and towels are provided, along with initial logs for the woodburner.
Gillamoor is a small village near Kirkbymoorside, three miles away. A pub lies a short walk from the door. The North York Moors surround the area, offering extensive walking and cycling routes, while Helmsley, Thirsk and various visitor attractions including Riveaulx Abbey and Castle Howard are within reasonable driving distance. The landscape here is known for long views across farmland towards the moorland edge. Smoking is not permitted in the cottage. One well-behaved pet can stay for no extra charge.
