The North York Moors roll out just beyond Kirkbymoorside, and Barmoors makes the most of that setting with a garden, outdoor seating and garden views that put the countryside front and centre. This is an adults-only B&B, so it suits couples or friends after a quiet base rather than a family stop-off.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, free WiFi and drinks available in room, and breakfast is included to set you up for the day. There's a bar on site too, along with 24 hour reception and free on-site parking, so arrivals and evenings are kept simple and flexible.

Outside the door, the area is built for getting out and about: walking and cycling routes lead straight into the moors, with golf, fishing and horse riding all nearby, plus pubs, restaurants and other local entertainment within easy reach for when you're back off the trail.
