Calton Cottage is a seventeenth-century stone building that sits on the banks of Kettlewell Beck, its age evident in the fabric of the place yet the interior thoroughly updated for modern living. The cottage is in Skipton, within the walking-friendly terrain of Wharfedale, where shops and a pub sit within a mile. The ground floor holds a living room with woodburner, a separate dining room, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—oven, dishwasher, washing machine and the rest. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a double bed and ensuite shower, the other with two singles and an ensuite with bath. The whole property is yours alone, and a one-dog household is welcome. A terrace overlooks the water, bordered by a low wall.
Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are included. Central parking is on road. The cottage suits couples, small families, or friends wanting a base for walking or exploring the wider area—Grassington and Skipton both have plenty to see, and the surrounding countryside offers riding, fishing and caving besides. No smoking inside.
