Grinton sits in the heart of Swaledale, a village where St Andrews Church dominates the view and The Bridge Inn sits opposite the main street. Corner House occupies a stone cottage right at the centre of it all, a double-fronted semi-detached property with an enclosed front garden and sitting area. The position means the countryside begins immediately outside, with riverside walks along the Swale within easy reach and the Coast to Coast path nearby.
Inside, the ground floor has a living room with a multi-fuel stove, a dining room and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—oven, hob, dishwasher, washing machine and the rest. Upstairs are three bedrooms: a kingsize, two singles, and a double accessed by four steps, served by a shower room and separate toilet. Essentials like bed linen, towels, electricity and Wi-Fi are included. The cottage stays warm with electric radiators throughout, and there's space in the entrance porch for walking boots, coats and a damp dog if needed. Parking is on road. One pet is welcome.
The setup suits families or groups of friends who want a rural base with village facilities—shops and a pub within a mile—and access to Swaledale's walking and cycling routes. A stream runs behind the house toward the River Swale, less than 200 yards away. No smoking inside.
