Darton Cottage is a stone-built period home spread across three floors, comprehensively set up for a self-catering stay. Everything essential is covered: heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi all come as standard. The kitchen has a full range of appliances including a dishwasher, so cooking for six is straightforward; there's a dining table in the same room for meals together. A washing machine sits in an outbuilding if you need it during your stay.
The layout gives you a proper living space on the ground floor with a wood-burning stove and smart TV, then bedrooms across the first and second floors: two doubles with original fireplaces and a twin room with its own TV. A shower room serves the upper floors. Outside, you have a south-facing terrace at the front with garden furniture, and a rear courtyard with a separate store for bikes and sports gear. One step leads into the cottage; there is a step in the garden itself.
Pannett Park sits on your doorstep, home to a local museum. The town centre of Whitby—its independent shops, cafes and restaurants—is a ten-minute walk away, and the Cinder Track for walking and cycling towards Robin Hoods Bay starts nearby. The cottage does not permit smoking. No children or age restrictions are mentioned in the booking terms.
