Outstanding dog walking field, lovely clean facilites, peaceful site, lovely views and fantastic helpful and friendly lady on reception. Nice pitches, well maintained site. Sadly would not return for 2 reasons. The initial main road walk to Whitby is not safe. The path is narrow and uneven with fast heavy traffic very close. It was nerve-wracking with dogs and would be frightening with small children as well as very difficult with a buggy. The lack of a shop on site didn't worry me at the time of booking but the narrow grass verge walk close to traffic makes walking to the shop a bit of a challenge. My visit was spoilt on my last day at 10:10 when the maintenance team started to move my things from next to my caravan and disconnected my hook up so they could mow the grass! When I asked them about this and explained I was packing up to leave at checkout time of 11:00 the man clearing the way for the tractor mowing was quite off-hand and I felt uncomfortable and pressurised. My little dogs were tethered outside the caravan whilst I was packing up and I was worried they were going to be run over. Speaking to another caravanner who has stayed there before it seems this is a regular occurrence. Why not make checkout 10:00 then? But if it is 11:00 please allow us to occupy pitches undisturbed until 11:00.

Lovely campsite with friendly staff, not far to Whitby. Probably 25 minutes walk downhill. Taxi back £6.50. Toilets and showers clean and warm. Only issue pressing the shower ever 10 seconds, more hooks needed especially mens. Only one hook, also shelf needed in men's showers - nowhere to put toiletries.

Lovely large spacious site with amazing countryside views. Half hours walk into Whitby. Helpful staff. Shower/toilet block very basic but clean.

Great location a walk from Whitby centre. Lovely cottage, well equipped, very clean, owners friendly. Even though it is closed to a busy road we didn't hear the traffic. Our second visit and we will be returning.
