Gunnerside is a working village in Swaledale, deep in the Yorkshire Dales, surrounded by moorland and walking country. Half a mile uphill from the village sits Dyke Heads Stable, a converted stone building with a single bedroom and ensuite on the ground floor. Upstairs is the living space—kitchen, dining area, and sitting room—reached either by internal stairs or an external stone flight, depending on your preference. The property sleeps two and is yours alone for the duration of your stay.
The bedroom has a double bed. Electricity, bed linen and towels come as standard. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering: electric cooker, microwave, fridge, and access to the owner's freezer and washing machine. You get parking for one car on site. One well-behaved pet can stay at no extra cost. The patio has garden furniture. A pub is within easy walking distance, and the market towns of Hawes, Leyburn, Reeth and Richmond are all within reach for a day out. The cottage does have narrow and steep stairs internally, so worth knowing if that's a consideration.
No smoking indoors. Check-in is after 15:00 and checkout before 10:00.
