Hendricks Cottage is a three-bedroom house at the edge of West Witton, a village in the Yorkshire Dales. It sleeps five across a king bedroom with ensuite, two doubles, and a smaller double, plus a second bathroom with walk-in shower. The ground floor is open-plan living and kitchen, with a wood burner, Freeview TV, and the kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and all the basics. Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels are included. One well-behaved pet is welcome.
The real draw is the enclosed courtyard at the back. It's lit in the evening and furnished for sitting out, with a BBQ and a wood-fired pizza oven—the kind of thing that justifies lingering after a day walking or cycling in the Dales. There's private parking for two cars on site. West Witton itself has a pub and shop within a couple of minutes' walk. Leyburn, a proper market town with independent shops and restaurants, is four miles away. Hawes and the Wensleydale Creamery are thirteen miles north. For families, Forbidden Corner and the Polar Express train are nearby; for history, Middleham Castle, Bolton Castle and Jervaulx Abbey are all under ten miles off. York is about an hour and a quarter's drive if you want a day out in the city. No smoking inside.
