High Rylands
North Yorkshire
Arncliffe sits deep in the Yorkshire Dales, surrounded by limestone hills and walking routes that lead across open moorland or down into river valleys. The village itself is small and quiet; the pub is close by for an evening out, and the National Park boundary runs through the landscape around you. For those who want to explore further, Malham Cove, Janet's Foss and Gordale Scar are all accessible drives away, as are the market towns of Settle and Grassington.
High Rylands is a traditional stone farmhouse on the village green, built to accommodate large gatherings. Five bedrooms hold up to 14 people across doubles and singles; four bathrooms and an ensuite mean mornings run smoothly. Downstairs you get a living room with an open fire and smart TV, a spacious kitchen with a full range of appliances, a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, and a games room with a pool table and table tennis. The back garden is enclosed, with furniture and a barbecue. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are all included. The property is for your exclusive use, and smoking is not permitted inside.
This works well for extended family visits or groups of friends wanting a shared base in the Dales, with enough indoor space that people don't feel crowded on rainy days.
