Jenny's Cottage comes ready to use. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all covered, and one well-behaved pet stays free. The kitchen is properly outfitted for cooking – electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge – so you can manage anything from quick breakfasts to full meals. Downstairs there's a living and dining room with an open fire and Smart TV; a single bedroom with a pull-out trundle; and a bathroom with shower over bath. Upstairs, a kingsize bedroom and a twin room complete the sleeping arrangements, making six guests comfortable. The garden at the back has seating and furniture for sitting out.
Osmotherley itself is a working village rather than a showpiece. Three country pubs, a café and a shop that opens daily are all within easy reach on foot. The North York Moors National Park starts at the village edge, with walking routes heading directly from Osmotherley to Cod Beck Reservoir, the Cleveland Way and other established trails. Cyclists find good riding nearby, and there's enough village character – historic lanes, period buildings – to occupy a morning's wandering without needing transport. The cottage sits close to Our Lady of Mount Grace Catholic Church. Note that the garden includes 10 steps, and smoking is not permitted inside.
