The Boiler House
North Yorkshire
Osmotherley sits on the edge of the North York Moors, surrounded by footpaths and cycling routes that lead into open countryside. The Boiler House occupies a converted space behind its owner's home, offering a private base for exploring this part of Yorkshire on foot or by bike. Three pubs within walking distance all cook with local ingredients, and the village has a shop and fish and chip takeaway.
The property comprises one bedroom with two single beds, a bathroom with shower, and a combined living and kitchen space on the ground floor. French doors open onto an enclosed garden with patio and seating. The bedroom and bathroom have sloping ceilings and low beams, which restricts headroom in places. One car can be parked on the property, and there's a bike store. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering; heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included. One well-behaved pet stays free.
The location works for couples, walkers and cyclists. Northallerton is seven miles away, Helmsley fifteen, and Richmond—perched above the Swale with Georgian architecture and independent shops—is within an hour's drive. No smoking inside.
