Maddy Cart House
North Yorkshire
Maddy Cart House stands on the grounds of a 15th-century farmhouse, surrounded by 20 acres of fields with views across moorland towards Castleton. The location puts you within reach of the Heritage Coast—Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay, Staithes and Runswick Bay are all accessible for a day out—while the North York Moors and Esk Valley are on your doorstep for walking and exploring. Historic houses including Helmsley, Nunnington Hall and Castle Howard are a short drive away, and the village shop, pub and restaurant are a mile down the road.
The studio is a single open-plan space on the ground floor with a living area, dining space and kitchen, plus a bedroom with two single beds and a wet room. It's self-contained and all yours, with a lawned garden, patio and parking for one car. One dog can stay free, though the farm setting means it needs to be kept on a lead. Electricity, bed linen and towels are provided, and there's a shared games room in the grounds (table tennis, darts, basketball and quoits) if you want company or a break from exploring.
