Mallard Lodge sits in rural North Yorkshire, within reach of villages built around the River Aire and surrounded by countryside that invites walking, cycling, fishing and golf. The landscape here tilts towards quiet: rolling fields, woodland, and the kind of lanes where you notice the seasons changing. Burton Hall Bridge marks a point on the map nearby.
The lodge itself holds three bedrooms—a king, two singles, and bunks—spread across an open-plan ground floor with living and dining space. The kitchen is fitted for actual cooking rather than heating ready meals. One bathroom contains a shower cubicle, and there is a separate toilet. Essentials like bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included; heating runs via underfloor systems. A private hot tub sits on the decking, which overlooks shared landscaped grounds of five acres. Parking for two cars is on site, and one well-behaved pet is welcome. No smoking indoors.
This is a whole property to yourself, not a shared arrangement. Laundry facilities exist on-site, though they operate on a coin system and are shared with other holiday lets. The water supply comes from a borehole rather than mains. Arrive after 4pm, depart before 10am.
