Millgate Fosse Cottage gives you everything needed for a break without compromise. The kitchen has an oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge, plus a coffee machine for mornings. Downstairs, an open-plan living space contains a dining table and a sitting area with electric heating and a smart TV. Upstairs, the bedroom holds a king bed dressed in fresh linen and its own smart TV. The bathroom offers both a bath and a separate shower, with heated towels and underfloor heating to complete the comfort.
The cottage sits a short walk from Richmond's market square, where independent shops, galleries and cafés fill the cobbled lanes. Richmond Castle rises above it all—you can reach the ruins and the surrounding Yorkshire Dales countryside on foot. There's a public car park nearby if you need one, though you can drop bags at the door. Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included. The cottage does not permit smoking.

Lovely little cottage right in the middle of town, with good open plan kitchen, dining and sitting area on the ground floor and good sized modern bathroom and double bedroom upstairs. On arrival we discovered a welcome pack which was an unexpected bonus. A 2 minute walk to all the local amenities. Couldn't fault it

What a beautiful cottage. Couldn't be more perfectly placed for exploring Richmond and the surrounding areas. Every amenity to hand, comfortable and relaxing. Oh! And the bath..... Would definitely stay there again.

Great location, but on arrival at cottage it was freezing & no heating/hot water, was told it had been on since 1pm & as it was a combi boiler would have hot water. Contacted the owner next day after freezing all night to be told to look at the boiler sent a picture of boiler which needed topping up to be told that’s an easy fix & sent video to show how to top it up. We were supposed to stay Christmas Eve to the Saturday after Boxing Day but got a taxi home Christmas Day so more money on you of the £459 already paid. Didn’t think it was pet friendly either.

A perfect place to stay for two only a few steps away from the market place. Although compact the cottage has everything that you could need for a week or a few days of luxury, a lot of thought has obviously gone into the design to make the most of the space available and all the fixtures and fittings give the feeling of opulence and luxury, especially the bathroom and very comfy bedroom. Although there is no parking at the cottage there is a carpark at the foot of the hill or disc parking in the market place but we parked for free on The Green, only a steady 10 minute walk away at the opposite side of the castle, it does involve a hill climb but that's all part of the fun in Richmond. Communication before and after our stay with the owner, Sarah, was very helpful and appreciated. A great pick and we would love to return, I wouldn't hesitate in recommending.
