East Ayton sits at the gateway to the North York Moors National Park, with country walks and beaches within reach and the heritage steam railway from Pickering to Whitby nearby. Castle Howard and Sewerby Hall are both accessible for a day out. The village itself has a shop, petrol station and a local pub serving home-cooked meals, all within walking distance.

Milly's Cottage is a single-storey property with a double bedroom upstairs, a shower room with heated towel rail, and an open-plan ground floor combining living and dining areas with a kitchen. The sitting area has a 32-inch smart TV and a leather suite. There's a separate dressing area off the bedroom. Essentials like electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included. An enclosed garden with patio opens from the main living space, and there's parking for one car on site.

Small dogs are welcome and stay free, with a welcome pack and doggy extras provided; the area is notably dog-friendly with many pubs and cafés accommodating them. The property does not accept children under 18, and smoking is not permitted.
