Moorhouse Farm Cottage stands on a working farm within the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offering far-reaching countryside views across the Hovingham Estate. The village shop, pub and restaurant are a mile and a half away; Helmsley market town is ten miles off, and York about thirty minutes' drive.
The cottage is yours alone, arranged over two floors. Downstairs combines living space, dining area and kitchen in one open room, with a wood burner for colder evenings and a smart TV. The kitchen has an electric cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. One double bedroom and a bathroom with bath and shower are also on this level, along with a separate toilet. Upstairs are two more bedrooms: one with a double bed, one with two singles. A quarter-acre lawned garden, enclosed and furnished with seating, wraps around the property; a covered patio extends the usable space. Parking for two cars is on site, and there is a bike store.
The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—are included, along with initial fuel for the wood burner. If you are travelling with children, a travel cot and highchair are available. One pet is welcome. No smoking inside the property. The cottage draws water from a borehole; there is a covered pond in the garden.

Lovely place to stay. Only problem we found was the water was undrinkable as smelt and tasted so bad. And was to oily to even shower and bath in.
