Wold View is a converted cottage retaining period character, set within grounds that sprawl across two acres of landscaped gardens and natural planting. The entire property is yours alone: a ground-floor layout with open-plan living space, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, two bedrooms (one with a king bed and ensuite shower, one with two single beds), and a family bathroom. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are all covered. The kitchen has a cooker, microwave, dishwasher and washer-dryer. One well-behaved pet stays free.

Outside, an enclosed garden with patio and barbecue serves the property, and there is parking for two cars on site. Filey itself—a traditional seaside town with an annual fishing festival—lies a mile away, with five miles of sheltered sandy beach backed by Filey Brigg's distinctive headland. Scarborough is six miles off, offering theatres, museums and further beaches. The North Yorkshire Moors National Park, market towns, abbeys and castles are all within easy reach. A shop and pub sit one mile down the road. No smoking indoors.

We just came rom Bramble Barn Private Sauna & Hot Tub here as part of the complex of 5 accommodations at Newbiggin Farm West close to sweet Filey. The facilities were so so nice to come home to after days out hiking the Cleveland Way to Scarborough, or after going on the NYorks Moors Railway to visit Whitby. It was idyllic when we stayed from 16-20 Sept 2024, beautiful, fresh but bright sunny weather and seeing the Harvest Supermoon from the tub was a special highlight. You are next to a working farm with horses and it is a peaceful, lovely place with great thought-out living amenities. Recommended
