About The Darling Suites
Step into a suite at The Darling Suites and you'll find warm, homely decor, an en-suite bathroom and drinks laid on in the room, the kind of comfortable set-up that makes a rural stay feel properly looked after. Free WiFi is available throughout, and breakfast is included to start the day before heading out to explore Filey.
What sets this B&B apart is its setting: it shares its site with an animal rescue centre, giving the whole place a distinctly countryside, animal-loving character rather than a standard guesthouse feel. There's a garden to sit in, 24 hour reception for whenever you arrive, and free on-site parking so you don't need to worry about the car.
Carless Lane puts guests within reach of Filey Bay and Filey Brigg, and there's plenty to fill the days nearby, including golf, fishing, and a choice of pubs, bars and restaurants for evening meals. It's a straightforward, well-cared-for base for exploring this stretch of North Yorkshire coast.

What guests say
Stayed in the blue suite. Wonderful . Spotlessly clean, very well prepared , it really is a little suite with lounge bedroom and bathroom. Mark is the consummate host, top breakfast choices, the full English perfect. The area is lovely, only 5 mins drive from Filey. The pub in the village, Bull Inn is great, really good food, gets busy so you better booking ahead. Can’t fault this whole experience. I highly recommend this property.

This is a fantastic place to stay. Beautifully appointed suites, fabulous hosts and a wonderful air of tranquility. Close enough to town for meals and the breakfasts served in the suite are outstanding. Mark and Tina are tow of the best hosts we have ever met and we have already booked to return.

Really lovely stay. Very spacious room, delicious breakfast and very friendly hosts. And lots of animals to see! They asked at breakfast why we were staying and we stated that it was my birthday and within an hour I had a wonderful big Victoria Sponge cake - freshly baked!
