Families, couples and groups of six will find Pletts Barn a comfortable base in Grassington, a village at the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. The property is a Grade II listed conversion of a former barn, retaining original gritstone walls, stone slate roof and period features throughout. A wood burner sits in the open-plan living space on the upper floor, which also contains the kitchen; downstairs has two further reception rooms, a dining area and utility space. Bedrooms are split across both floors: two doubles on the ground level (one with ensuite) and a kingsize on the first floor, each with their own shower room.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher and all essentials. Underfloor heating runs throughout, bed linen and towels are provided, and wi-fi keeps you connected. Two cars can park on site; a free public car park lies 200 yards away. The grounds include a sitting-out area with garden furniture. One well-behaved pet is welcome. Note that the grounds contain a step, and smoking is not permitted.
Grassington sits on the edge of open moorland, with walking and cycling accessible from the doorstep. The Devonshire Institute and Town Hall stand at the heart of the village, which has shops, pubs and cafés within easy reach.
