Seaton Cottage is a self-contained two-bedroom property within the grounds of Seaton Hall, arranged over two floors with direct access from the courtyard. Ground level holds an open-plan living space with a 50-inch Smart TV and electric woodburner, a kitchen with full cooking facilities including dishwasher, and a twin bedroom with its own shower room. Upstairs, a double bedroom and separate bathroom with bath and shower are reached via a central staircase, with a utility area housing the washing machine and tumble dryer.

The cottage sleeps four and comes with bed linen, towels, heating, electricity and Wi-Fi included. One well-behaved pet stays free. The enclosed rear garden has a lawned section and gravelled patio with furniture; a BBQ can be arranged beforehand. Parking for two cars is allocated in the on-site car park. The property does not permit smoking indoors.

The location sits roughly a mile from Staithes, a working fishing village with shops including a Co-op on Whitby Road, and puts guests within reach of Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay and Runswick Bay. The Cleveland Way walking trail crosses the cliffs nearby, and the North York Moors National Park is accessible for exploration. Families, couples and those travelling with pets will find the space practical for a self-catering break on the Yorkshire coast.

Absolutely loved it. Felt like lord of the manor the moment I walked in and ideally located for places like Staithes harbour, Saltburn by the sea, Sandsend and Whitby. Lovely cafe and antiques centre right next door to the accommodation. Would definitely go stay again

We stayed at Lady de Seton cottage, this January. Absolutely beautiful, very quirky and has everything we could possibly need. Very clean and tidy when we arrived, owner William came straight away to check everything was OK The cafe is just next door and we ate there for breakfast. The girls are lovely and very helpful, nothing too much trouble. Rate 100% and will definitely come back.

Just stayed with a party of 20 for my 60th birthday. It was amazing .We had a great time - from my parents who are 92 & 90 years old to my great nephews and niece, it was ideal. We stayed in the hall, the cottage and the annexe. William, the owner, was very welcoming and accommodating allowing us to move furniture to make easier access for my parents. The facilities for cooking were great with plenty of big pots and pans, glasses of all shapes and sizes etc. The beds were comfortable and there is lots of room in and out to relax and have fun.
