Whitby sits at the heart of the Yorkshire coast, with walking trails, fishing opportunities and cycling routes all within easy reach. The Forge is a two-bedroom bed and breakfast where you have the whole property to yourself, so there's no shared communal space with other guests. One bedroom has a double bed with its own bathroom; the second has two single beds and a shower room. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering, there's a woodburner in the living area, and you can relax in the private hot tub on your enclosed garden. Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels are included; car parking is on site. One well-behaved pet is welcome.
The property suits families, couples and small groups wanting to explore the surrounding countryside without being tied to restaurant hours. The grounds occupy five acres of landscaped space shared with other properties on site. If you need to do laundry during your stay, there are coin-operated machines available. Check-in is after 16:00 and checkout before 10:00. The property is non-smoking.

Sadly we weren't staying in this fantastic pub but I'm sure we will one day. The food is outstanding and both the food and service deserves more than a large tip. Everything about The Forge is friendly, welcoming and memorable. We booked a table and spent our 25th Wedding Anniversary (just the 2 of us and the dog) and have the best memories to take away!! Thank you to everyone who works their socks off creating such a warm welcoming happy place ❤️

We recently visited for food, we were a family of 6, and arrived about 15 minutes before opening time on a Friday evening. How lovely the staff were who noticed us outside and invited us in early. Once inside we were promtly shown to our table and provided with menu's and drinks. I must say the staff could not have been more polite and welcoming. The food was also enjoyed by everyone in attendance and we were all pleasantly surprised how nice the whole experience was.

The nicest inn we've stopped at. Ten minutes drive from Whitby centre, Surrounded by beautiful scenery for miles around. The room we had was the suite, it was extremely well furnished, clean, tidy and relaxing to unwind in. Downstairs has a very cosy bar area with a log burner, the decor is very country cottage/traditional English. The dining section is very clean and well kept. We were waited on and looked after, having no complaints with the service or food at all. Very nice. All in all we'd return to the Forge Inn without hesitation, thankyou!

We have just stayed here for 2 nights. Wow! Excellent location for Whitby and the park & ride. Staff very helpful & friendly. Room lovely & spacious. Food Excellent, breakfast fantastic and evening meals too. We will be calling again.
